Men and women are different. But which gender is more complicated? If you ask a man, he’ll say women are more complicated. Because if she does or says something he doesn’t understand, he gives up. But if you ask a woman, I’m not sure she’d have anything to say on the subject. Because when a man does or says something a woman doesn’t understand, she thinks he’s wrong. She’ll try to correct him. Or find some other way to fix him. Like going to couple’s counseling. Let’s talk about that.

Men and women are different. Always have been. Always will be. And that’s a very good thing. When women are valued, and men are respected, we develop the capacity to create a beautiful life together. That doesn’t mean we have a life or a relationship without challenges. Challenges will always be part of life. It does mean that our first goal is to understand. Our second goal is to be understood. Problem-solving comes third. Let’s talk about that.

A Woman of Noble Character

Saturday Dec 23, 2023

Saturday Dec 23, 2023

An ancient proverb talks about the woman of noble character. If you’re not familiar with this popular ideal, you can read it in the Bible, Proverbs 31, verses 10 through 31. The virtuous woman, which is the term used in some English translations, seems to be able accomplish everything and do it all perfectly. But if you notice, this text extols the virtues of her work, not her identity. Her identity is assumed. But today’s woman reads this and becomes a human doing, instead of a human being. She loses her identity. Let’s talk about that.

Men and women are different.
Alway have been. Always will be.

Hello, I’m Dr. Debi Smith, and I’ve been helping men, women, and couples grow together for more than 25 years. Now it’s your turn to benefit from all I’ve learned and taught as a former couple's counselor and university professor.

An ancient proverb states, “A Wise Woman builds her house. But with her own hands, the foolish one tears hers down.” (Proverbs 14:1)

You are here because you want to be a Wise Woman, too. But much of what you’ve learned about men probably isn’t true. Therefore, I’m here to serve as your Guide, both in the learning, as well as the unlearning, process.
